Check out 100 designer stalls including Klei and Bilingual this weekend at the PYD Designer markets @ Danks St Waterloo this Sunday 26th October 2008, 10 am – 4pm.

This Sunday the pyd. Designer Markets, part of the Danks Street Festival, will transform Sydney’s Waterloo into a design hunter feeding-ground. Over 80 stalls from a range of designers will be pedalling their wares and are sure to impress the design-savvy crowds.

There will be a range of designs on show, from fabric to jewellery and quirky ceramics. The markets aim to foster young and emerging designers in Sydney, nurturing a design culture that embraces new designers and brings them together in a creative environment.

The Danks Street Festival will run on Sunday 26 October from 11am – 4pm and are expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors. Entry to the Festival and designer markets is free to the public.

pyd is supporting young, new and innovative designers by holding our first designer markets on Sunday 26th of October 08 at the Danks Street Festival, produced by the City of Sydney

pyd is a unique destination which presents the very best in interior design and decor under the one roof. Bordered by Phillip, Young and Danks Streets (from which it bears its name) in Waterloo, pyd is in the heart of this new and dynamic creative precinct that is home to a variety of top design showrooms and art galleries, as well as quality foods.

The designers markets provide an opportunity for emerging designers to showcase and launch their creative talent onto the Sydney scene. Our focus is young budding artists, furniture designers and industrial design products of original quality that will reinforce the existing mix of the Dank Street / Young Street precinct. Preference will be given to stallholders offering quality, contemporary and unique homewares, gifts, furniture, fabrics, and lifestyle products.

Set in the Warehouse of the pyd building, the designers markets will run for one day with over 80 designers to an audience of over 30,000 people.

With around 30,000 people expected to attend the Danks Street Festival produced by the City of Sydney, this will be your chance to stand out from the rest.

Costs: Stalls will be allocated to the first 80 approved applicants. Students must present a student card to obtain student discount rates.
