Some of West Australia’s richest talent have created a diverse range of beautiful jewellery, objects and art works perfect for all of your gift giving requirements from trinkets and tokens of affection to heirlooms and enduring keepsakes.
Artists (some old, some new, some borrowed…) include Lina Linton, Des Ryan, Beth Linton, Jessica Jubb, Helena Bogucki, Carrie McDowell, Nicole Lance and Leah Tarlo. All bring their talent to the Christmas table in a celebration of giving.
• Des Ryan, a silver-smith with 30 years experience, has been working through his extensive collection of hammers on a new range of unique forged and patterned knives.
• Carrie McDowell has given into the delicious temptation of fancy things to bring you her ‘Bling Ring’ series; developed through a love of beads and a desire to put them to new uses
• Jessica Jubb continues to be inspired by crawly critters and evolution. Get bug-eyed with her Coleoptera
Collection, the serious side of which you may have seen at the last exhibition at Linton Studio, is alive and is
now available in Technicolor!
• Beth Linton has been flexing fourth generation muscle to craft an ample range of Linton Silver just in time forChristmas, in addition to new jewellery pieces to inspire and delight you.
• Helena Bogucki collects, catalogues and conspires to bring you delicate and surpassingly fresh wearable
pieces.
• Nicole Lance’s stainless steel and silver jewellery for men and women has a minimal elegance that reminds usrestraint can be a virtue.
• Leah Tarlo’s “Many Hands Make Light Work” series, made with porcelain pieces of tiny people, will tickle your fancy.
• Lina Linton has sharpened her pencils and splashed out on the special inks to create more compelling,
detailed original artworks in addition to framing up some limited edition prints for an affordable and
thoughtful Christmas offering.
Linton Studio is an exciting new retail Crafts and Art Gallery representing Western Australian artists, designers and makers. The creation of fourth generation Western Australian Silversmith Beth Linton and partner Luke Davey, Linton Studio has a selection of beautiful Western Australian hand-made jewellery, silverware and art works by local artists alongside a workshop available to take jewellery and silverware commissions.
Linton Studio is located on the ground floor (Shop 12) of Bon Marche Arcade (80 Barrack Street Perth) and celebrates ‘Gifted’ with an opening event on November 28.
Opening hours are Wednesday and Thursday 12 to 5.30,
Friday 11 to 7 and Saturday 11 to 5, or otherwise by appointment.
